Darren Sproles is a beast, simple as that. During his years as a Kansas State Wildcat from 2001 to 2004, Sproles broke 23 school records, finished 11th in all-time rushing yards for college and sixth in all-purpose yards in NCAA history. He rushed for nearly 5,000 yards and 45 touchdowns during this time. Though small in stature (5’ 7”), Darren Sproles used his agility, speed and strength to show that size isn’t the most important factor in being an exemplary running back. After playing for the Chargers for five years, Sproles joined the Saints in 2011, finishing the season with 2,696 all-purpose yards and breaking the NFL single-season record, previously set in 2000 by Derrick Mason.
