What would be a more fitting end to one of the most exciting NCAA Tournaments in recent memory than to have the Championship game come down to the last shot? As Gordon Hayward's final shot came up just short, the Blue Devils held on to capture the 2010 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship, their fourth National Championship under coach Mike Krzyzewski, topping Butler 61-59 in front of 70,930 in Indianapolis. Duke's "Big Three" of Kyle Singler, Jon Scheyer and Nolan Smith led the Blue Devils to their first championship since 2001. Singler, the Final Four's most outstanding player, scored 17 points, Scheyer 15 and Smith 13 against a Butler team whose defense had suffocated its opponents throughout the tournament. The Bulldogs, behind 33-year-old head coach Brad Stevens, maintained their "Butler Way" style of play with stingy defense and balanced scoring against Duke. Hayward and Shelvin Mack led Butler with 12 points each. Matt Howard, coming off a concussion in the semifinal win over Michigan State, finished with 11 and Avery Jukes chipped in 10 first half points off the bench. This DVD collectible is the perfect gift for the Duke basketball enthusiast in your life! Running time is approximately 160 minutes.
