Maurice Jones-Drew was looked over during the 1st round of the 2006 NFL Draft because of his small, 5’ 7” frame. The Jacksonville Jaguars eventually picked him up for their second round pick (60th overall). The Jaguars’ offense has never been the same. Since 2006, Jones-Drew is the most effective weapon in the Jags’ arsenal. One of the league’s most versatile running backs, Jones-Drew is noted for his uncanny ability to slip past or power through defenders, more than once disappearing into a pile of opponents only to somehow emerge on the other end and continue running.
