Description
The Pro Combat Rivalry collection from Nike is a limited, one-game-only series made just for your Beavers' December 4, 2010 installment of their ultimate rivalry matchup against the University of Oregon Ducks. More than a performance uniform, though, these on-field and sideline pieces were designed with Oregon’s victorious history in mind, drawing specific lines between the values of the underdogs’ hard work and towering spirit. Thus, Nike forged their inspiration for the designs from the uniforms worn by the Beavers in 1967, the year the team was nicknamed the Giant Killers after a streak of upsets including wins over their top rivals, the Ducks. This jersey features bold accents including a solar orange stripe inside the collar highlighted with the school’s rallying cry of “Beaver Nation” and block tackle twill numbers on the chest, back and sleeves that were inspired by the stately neoclassical architecture of Oregon State’s campus. It not only captures an overwhelming sense of perseverance as the essence of Beaver Football, it delivers significant performance benefits to give this one-of-a-kind jersey a lasting notion of indomitable Oregon State pride!
